Alan Jaques BEng (Homs) MIPTA

Alan graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK with a Bachelors Honours Degree in Computer Aided Engineering and Design. He began his career working for Rolls-Royce Aerospace designing jet engine components. After moving to Australia 2008 he gained further experience in aerospace and composites production, before moving to Perth where he worked for four years in the resources sector, as a mechanical and project engineer for an EPCM designing mineral processing plants.

Oana Lord MSc BEng Chemistry, CChem, FRACI, MAWA, INTA

Oana graduated from Polytechnic University of Timisoara, Romania with a with a degree in Chemical Engineering and MSc in Organic Chemistry. After graduating she began her career working for “Solventul”, Timisoara and then as a Research Fellow at the Polytechnic University of Timisoara where she focussed on projects in the field of electrochemistry: waste recovery in non-ferrous industry, new sources of energy, permanent-dimension. After migrating to Australia in 1983 she gained further experience working for 10 years in private enterprises as a senior chemist, manager and customer liaison in the field of chemistry for laboratories serving the Mining and Oil and Gas industries. In 2003 she accepted a position as manager and later as a business development manager at National Measurement Institute, federal government organisation, working with large corporations: Department of Water, Mining and Oil and Gas as well as Universities, organising projects where she was exposed to innovation.

Ian Anderson BSc (Mech Eng)

Ian Anderson has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Queensland University of Technology minoring in Motorsport.  Following the completion of his bachelor degree Ian worked as an engineer at a Brisbane based HVAC contractor specialising in commercial/industrial building projects.  He then undertook a Masters of Applied Law at the Queensland University of Technology looking to study facets of the law applicable to engineering (contract law, mediation, cyber law, and more). During this course he also undertook study regarding intellectual property and wrote a dissertation regarding the patent law implications of 3D printing replacement components.
