Dr Zhi Ling Zeng BSc (Hons), PhD

After graduating from The University of Western Australia (UWA) with a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours in Chemistry), Zhi Ling worked as a research assistant in the Department of Chemistry (UWA) before taking up a position as Chemical Analyst in the mining laboratory of Alcoa Australia. Later, Zhi Ling took a scholarship offer and embarked on a PhD project in the area of analytical/environmental Chemistry at The University of Queensland (UQ). From her research, Zhi Ling identified and developed a chemical analytical technique which provided accurate assessment of copper speciation and phytoavailability/toxicity. The research project at UQ not only advanced Zhi Ling’s critical thinking and understanding of science, but also seeded her awareness on the importance of intellectual property protection and commercialisation of research.

The dual interest in science and intellectual property protection has led Zhi Ling to join the team at Lord and Company.Since starting at Lord and Company in 2007, Zhi ling has completed her Masters of Industrial Property at the University Of Technology Sydney (UTS).

As a Registered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney, Zhi Ling is fully prepared to advise her clients on all facets of protecting their intellectual property.
